A Daily Prayer
Dear Good and Gracious God,
Thank you for the gift of a new day, your faithful promises, and the Holy Spirit abiding in me. Thank you for always being with me no matter what I face or where I am.
Renew me this day, and show me when I need to repent. Give me grace for what lies ahead. Enable and empower me to live to please you and love others well. Bring into my life those who need you and bring those into my life who I need.
May I discover your presence in each person I meet and show them your love.
Let me know when to speak and when to listen, and when to ponder. Attune my heart to hear your Spirit’s whisper in challenges and decision-making. May I have eyes to look for you in every situation.
On this ordinary day, gift me with joy no matter the circumstances. Surprise me with fresh insight and hope for what you will do.
Thank you for your unlimited love, steady peace, life-giving hope, and unexplained joy.
