Does God feel distant or unreachable?
Do you ever question where God is in all the messiness of life?
Do you feel alone? I’ve been where you are.
Do you desire hope when grief seem overwhelming? You are not alone.
I survived dyslexia, anxiety, multiple losses, a divorce and being a single mother of 2 children with special needs. I faced chronic illness with my sons and mental illness in my family.
I have a passion to help others connect with God in the perplexity of everyday happenings and to bring hope through the grace to those who grieve. How do we find God when life brings unexpected punches?
My experience includes teaching children with special needs, teaching Bible Studies and leading support groups. I have been a chaplain for the past twelve years comforting people in crisis, grief and death. I hold a Masters in Christian Education and have completed a residence in Clinical Pastoral Education.
I am a writer, chaplain, teacher and advocate for people with disabilities and mental illness. I live with my husband in San Antonio, Texas and have three adult sons. I love hiking, exploring nature, reading, learning new things, coffee and all things chocolate.
For the sake of confidentiality, names, details and at times circumstances, are changed to protect the identities of the individual or their families. Despite the changes, I have remained true to the spirit of each chaplain visit.
